    Manaakitanga – Hospitality

MANAAKITANGA

A Māori concept that loosely translates to ‘hospitality’ – it is central to Māori society and inspires the way that travellers are made to feel welcome when visiting New Zealand. Within the Māori worldview, Manaakitanga can also represent respect, generosity, support and care for others which are all terms we live and work by.

WE CARE

We CARE for our customers and always take pride in delivering a premium service whilst putting safety above everything. We treat everyone with respect and support a multitude of charity and community organisations.

WE SHARE

We SHARE our positive energy with others and help create long lasting memories. Our close team environment creates a family-like unit, which is then extended to our manuhiri (visitors). You may arrive as a visitor, but you will leave as Velocity Valley family.

WE DARE

We DARE you to let us be apart of your adventure journey. We will help you find your courage and confidence and celebrate your triumphs with you. Through this journey we hope to inspire you and others around you.

COMMUNITY SUPPORT

Every year we provide over $12,000 worth of park rides/vouchers which support nationwide charity and local community groups and schools. The donated vouchers assist with fundraising efforts as well as rewarding people for exceptional work they may have done through charity work. MANAAKI ROTORUA

All staff are proud members of the Manaaki Rotorua programme.  Manaaki Rotorua is a unique online customer service and destination training programme. With the focus around Tourism within Rotorua, our Pūrākau (stories) and history of Te Arawa (local Tribe), common Maori phrases and pronunciation. But more importantly this programme allows us to be the best possible advocates for Rotorua and provide our customers with the exceptional knowledge and add to their Rotorua journey.

“He aha te mea nui o te ao? He Tangata, he tangata, he tangata”.

What is the most important thing in the world? It is people, it is people, it is people.

  • “Omg everyone needs to go here... Lots of fun. I did the agrojet (reaches 100km/h in less than 4 seconds) and the swoop (where you drop from 40m high and can reach 130km/h!). Highly recommend both and the other rides look fun too. Even if you're scared of heights (like me!) definitely try the swoop, I ended up loving it!”
